As 2008 comes to an end I thought I would take a look back over the year’s photographs like I often do. This time I decided to focus my year review on my life work that has been taken place in our photography studio in Seattle or on location in and around the Seattle area. This year has been busy for us with the studio growing and it was really tough to narrow down and select the photographs that would fit into the three minute music track that I laid down with the pictures.
To view my selection click on the photograph below, sit back and enjoy a short slide show set to a fun sound track. If you visited us in the last year and you don’t see a shot of your photography session I do apologize but there was only so much time and just too many great photographs to choose from.
Just before the holiday I got the chance to brave the Seattle snow and visit my best friends for a birthday party of their one year old twins. It was a lovely time with lots of friends and family visiting to mark the occasion which much talk about the crazy weather that Seattle is having this winter.
Here are a couple of photographs with proud Grandma that I thought I would post quickly.
This holiday season I got the chance to spend a bunch of time with the lovely Miss Olivia. She first came into our photography studio in Seattle with Mum and Dad back in November. Then a couple weeks before the holidays her older brother and sister were in town visiting so they came in again to create some fun photographs together. Here are just a few previews of the many shots that we got.
Two weeks before before Nicole had their lovely son JJ we got the four of us together to create a photograph for our own holiday card for the studio. After much discussion we settled on Nicole laying, with us writing ‘Happy Holidays’ on her belly with color blocks and then have Anne, Hillary and myself behind her. Of course after it wasn’t long before Jester decides to join us, much to the annoyance of Anne. Unfortunately my remote trigger is broken so I had to put the camera on timer and run back to get into frame.
Anyway, happy holiday’s to everyone. Wishing you the simply best time with whatever you are doing.
One of the things that I love at this time of year is that its the time that many families choose to bring their dogs with them for their holiday photographs. It’s not that we don’t see dogs here at other times of the year, but I guess with the festive season coming up the dogs are top of mind just as much as the kids when it comes to photographs.
Here we have Heidi and her crew shot in our photography studio in Seattle a few weeks ago. A couple of different treatments this time as I experiment with colors.
Lots of work happening right now in our photography studio in Seattle as we get ready for the holiday. I’ve been slacking at updating the blog recently but here quickly are a couple of photographs of these two gorgeous kids that came into the studio with their Mum recently.

Sheryl: Phil, this just turned out great. Kaitlin and Kaleb had a good time in your studio and particularly loved playing street musicians alongside their faithful hound. They were so excited to present this canvas to their dad, and his reaction did not disappoint. He loved it! Thanks for bringing out my kids’ personalities in many different ways (you actually got teens to smile in many of the other shots!) and thanks for helping us capture this important stage in their lives.
