One of my favorite parts of the our photography studio is the terrace.  Here we have a sizable outdoor space where we can make some lovely photographs - weather agreeing of course - we do live in Seattle after all!

Not only does that mean that we can grab some photographs with the skies in the background but we can also work things so that we get the city skyline in the background which I especially love with little ones.  Depending on the light we will often use a little fill flash to give a little extra light in our subjects face to help bring out the eyes and such.  Here are a couple of shots with this young man with our lovely emerald city in the background. 

Todd and family were in town this summer visiting from San Diego and although they had a super busy trip they really wanted to come into studio.  We managed to get some time with them towards the end of their stay and had a lot of fun.  I really loved this photograph as it seemed to capture the relationship between the younger sister with her big brother.
